    The DWX-4 makes digital technology for the production of dental prosthetics available for starters, and small and medium-sized labs. The unit offers an affordable and user-friendly platform with the same degree of accuracy as the conventional models at only half the size. With this unit, you can make prosthetics such as crowns and bridges in commonly used materials such as zirconium, PMMA, wax and composite resin.

  • No experience required

    The DWX-4 has been designed so that even those who are using a digital milling machine for the first time will be able to make accurate prosthetics smoothly. The process is very simple. After installing the material and the milling tools in the machine, you start with the virtual operating panel (VPanel). With this intuitive software, you configure the unit in a very simple way. The VPanel then sends the CAM data to the DWX-4 and the production of the prosthetics starts.

  • Professional unit

    In addition to the four axes (XYZ axes and a rotating axis), the DWX-4 has an automatic tool changer (ATC) for two tools. The tools are changed without interrupting the production process.

  • User friendly

    The DWX-4 has several functions that guarantee smooth operation. They include a status light that shows the progress of each job. And a system that checks the lifespan of the tool and warns you automatically when a tool should be replaced. An air blower prevents dust from building up in the milling machine. The negative ion generator eliminates the build-up of dust while milling PMMA and keeps the milling area clean. The DWX-4 also sends you an e-mail when there is a malfunction or when a job is done.

  • Open system for easy integration

    You can integrate the compact DWX-4 into your current production process easily. The unit can be used without any difficulty in combination with the scanner, CAD/CAM software and tools of your choice. The authorised Roland dealers offer a made-to-measure total solution to start-ups.

  • For more efficient milling

    The optional automatic tool changer ZAT-4D* extends the number of tools housed in the DWX-4 from two to a maximum of four. This allows for a seamless transition between procedures of roughing, finishing and removing remaining parts.

    * The ZAT-4D is compatible with VPanel ver.1.1 or later and cannot be used simultaneously with the ZV-4D.

  • For higher production efficiency

    The ZV-4D* clamps up to four pin-type blocks, and thus allows you to mill up to four pieces in one run. This increases production efficiency and makes continuous machining possible.

    * The ZV-4D cannot be used simultaneously with the ZAT-4D

  • For composite resin blocks

    The ZDB-100D, ZDB-50D and ZDB-30D milling burs are specially developed for the DWX-machines to cut composite resin materials. The milling burs are coated with special anti-peel coatings, in order to obtain the maximum durability while maintaining precious and steady milling quality.
